Open to all persons interested in the history of our Town and environs: its families, farms, businesses, buildings, railroads, cultural organizations and schools.
Membership in the Livonia Area Preservation and Historical Society (LAPHS) is open to all persons interested in the history of our Town and environs: including its families, farms, businesses, buildings, railroads, cultural organizations and schools.
The museum's collection is representative of all the hamlets: Livonia Village (Livonia Station), Lakeville, Livonia Center, Hemlock, South Livonia, South Lima and early settlements such as Jacksonville, Dixson Hollow and Gullburgh.
Basic Membership runs from July 1 to June 30 the following year, and requires a payment from $5 to $15 each year (see the Membership Form for details). Members receive the LAPHS Gazette News with notices of educational programs, meetings, museum news and special articles. Members may exercise voting privileges at LAPHS' Annual Meeting.
Supporting Members voluntarily contribute an additional sum to LAPHS determined by their ability and interest in our mission. Supporting memberships are vital to the operation of the Maurice F. Sweeney Museum to house and display the town of Livonia's precious historical collections and to our ability to provide free educational programs. Supporting memberships are gladly accepted at the time of year most convenient for you.
