We collect, protect and share the history of the Town of Livonia and its six hamlets, and we keep the doors open to anyone who wants to look.

The Society
A jar of peaches canned in 1863 for the Hemlock Fair. Bound volumes of the Livonia Gazette from 1875 to 1970. Several hundred postcards of hamlets that have changed beyond recognition. It is an ordinary town's history, kept carefully, by volunteers, for anyone who asks.

Thirty-five years of keeping the town's records.
We hold the town's photographs, ledgers and artifacts, run free programs through the year, and help anyone researching a family, a farm or a building. If you have something worth keeping, we will scan it and give it straight back.
